1940s two piece set by Florence Travis.  Top has 3/4 sleeves, lightly padded shoulders and topstitched seams radiating from the waist.  There is a metal zip closure at the nape of the neck and covered buttons (in matching burgundy velveteen) down one side.  All buttons are present but the last one would not close on the form.  Fabric is a soft lightweight woolen flannel.  One shoulder features a burgundy velveteen trapunto stitched floral motif.  Burgundy velveteen skirt (feels like cotton) is a-line and has a side button placket.  Both pieces in excellent condition with only minor wear/aging.  There is a flaw (see close up) in the top but it's not a hole and is not noticeable.  It's sort of a thinning of the fabric.

Fits like an xxs/xs.  Top has slight stretch.  It was snug on the size 2 form and the skirt waist did not close (form has a 24.5" waist).  Please allow for ease when considering measurements.
