1940 black rayon crepe dress with a mesh yoke studded with clear stones. Bodice has a sweetheart neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. The mesh yoke closes at back with hooks and eyes and there is a side metal zipper. Neckline and hem have ruffled trim. There is a curved V shaped waist seam and the skirt flares toward the hem.
Dress is in very nice condition with a few flaws to the mesh portion. There are two areas at the back shoulder area with visible mends. One where a stone is missing and the other where the stone is still present. See photos for close ups of these areas. Otherwise I noted only minor wear commensurate with age. Dress measures about a size small but can work for an extra small as well. It's shown unpinned on the size 2 form.
