Late 40s to early 50s white linen dress by Doris Dodson. Bodice has a high neckline with functioning covered buttons and a cross-stitched rose over the bust. The skirt is full at the hemline and features two large patch pockets over the hips with the same rose design. Bodice is partly lined, red thread belt loops but no belt. I did photograph it with a belt I had on hand (not included) and I do believe it looks best belted. Judging by the color of the loops it probably had a red belt. Dress closes with a side metal zipper. There is room for alterations due to the princess seams and long back dart. Excellent condition with only minor wear. The skirt was probably hemmed at some point in time, there's about an inch of seam allowance.
