1940s ivory wool suit by Lilli Ann. Fitted jacket is fully lined and has heavily padded shoulders, a narrow shawl collar and faux pockets (flaps but no pocket). The back of the jacket features a double peplum. The skirt is high waisted and closes with a side metal zipper and single button at the waistband. The skirt is straight, fitted through the hips and widening slightly at the hem. The front hemline is tulip shaped. Judging from the label and styling I believe this suit dates from the mid 1940s.
Overall excellent condition with minor wear/flaws. There are two mends, see last photo. One is nearly invisible. Not flawless but considering the color it's pretty remarkable there isn't any staining, at least nothing I found. Fits like an xs. The skirt is pretty small but has very large seam allowances and could be let out considerably. The material is flannel like in texture so I think needle marks will not be a problem.

Seam allowances in skirt are over 1/2" so the skirt could gain 2". If no alterations were made the button at waist could be moved over to gain some room. Material has some give.
