1940s dress with a green gabardine bodice and brown/white check skirt in a lightweight wool.  Bodice has a button front with full cut sleeves ending in button cuffs.  There are medium thickness shoulder pads and an elongated rounded collar.  There is an attached tie around the neck that fastens onto the top button.  There is a wide attached cummerbund above the a-line skirt.  There is a side metal zipper closure as well as a couple hooks and eyes to further secure the cummerbund. Very nice condition with minor wear.  Green gabardine portion has some light areas of discoloration, notably a water mark at the back near the shoulder, see final photo.  Nothing obvious however and dress presents beautifully.  Fabric and seams are strong.  Fits like an xs, fabric does not stretch so please leave yourself some room when assessing the measurements. For example, form has a 24.5" waist and this fit quite snugly.
