1940s novelty print rayon dress with a fitted bodice and wrap style skirt. Fabric has a navy blue ground with purple printed cowboy silhouettes. Sleeves are 3/4 in length, collar snaps shut behind the neck and there is a full length back metal zipper. Skirt overlaps at side front in a sort of wrap style with one side extending up over the hip where it's gathered and then cascades into a a sort of tail that trails behind to one side. Where it is gathered it's backed with interfacing to keep it's shape. Very interesting and flattering design. Skirt does stay closed during wear but the wrap style provides nice ease of movement.
Excellent condition. Some of the cowboys are more purple than others but I actually believe this is part of the print and not fading as I didn't note any fading to the ground. Minor wear commensurate with age but I didn't spot any stains, tears etc.
