1940s cherry red rayon crepe dress with sweetheart neckline, padded shoulders and front slit. There are areas of shirring at shoulders and around waist and there are some tucks at center front to provide fullness. Bodice is slim fitting and dress closes with a side metal zipper. Best for an xs.

Waist: 24, stretches to 25" or so, was snug on form at 24.5"
Hip: 36" flat, stretches to 38"

Length: 54" but with a deep hem of 5"
Very good condition, minor wear. I believe this dress was altered a long time ago as it has a very deep hem and there are some extra stitches around the zipper and some different colored thread inside. Nothing particularly glaring but it does have subtle signs of alterations, though all seem to be reversible if desired. There is a spot at center front but it's hard to see as it's in the tucks below the hips. Some faint pindot spots on the bodice, also not too noticeable, see final photo. I think these would all come out or lighten with a soak which I have not done, only a dry clean. Priced as is but I didn't note any holes, fading etc. Fabric is sturdy and ready to wear.
