1940s violet blue rayon crepe dress. Hard to capture the true color but it's definitely blue, not purple although there is a purplish undertone to the fabric. Bodice is fitted with long sleeves, small collar and a dropped waist. There is horizontal trimming with small clear stones. Skirt is gathered into the dropped waist seam. Shoulders have small pads the dress closes with a side metal zipper and cinches at the waist with a self belt. Structurally in excellent condition, the only flaw I noted was some minor fading to the top of bodice and sleeves. The underarms had sweat guards in them so they are not discolored. Fading seems more noticeable in the photos than in real life. One of the stones was missing so I replaced it with the closest I could find. It's not a perfect match but not something you see unless you're looking for it. Fits like an xs, fabric has some stretch.
